Sarah Leonard has spent over twenty years championing quality visitor experiences, sustainable tourism, and destination management in various natural resource positions in Arizona and Alaska. She has advocated for the conservation of our natural resources while working in fundraising for The Nature Conservancy; promoted wildlife viewing at the Alaska Department of Fish & Game; and marketed local special events at Arizona State Parks. She most recently served ten years as the President & CEO of the Alaska Travel Industry Association, the leading statewide industry organization for all things travel and hospitality in Alaska. Today she leads a community-based destination marketing and management nonprofit at Visit Longmont, in Colorado. Sarah has a Master of Science from ASU in recreation and tourism management and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She lives in Longmont Colorado, near Rocky Mountain National Park, with her husband Chris, and her dog Kumu (Koo-Moo).
